Music missions with ForeRunner: May 18-June 26’ 2010.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to use music and life stories to engage and connect with the lost? Or would you like to explore more deeply what is means to minister before the LORD and lead others in corporate worship?

This May and June, we’re looking for 12 students to join us on a 6 week missions project. You’ll learn to be a better communicator, discover how to play with a band and work as a team, and learn principles on how to use music to connect with believers and pre-believers. You’ll also discover how God can use your personal story, gifts, strengths and weaknesses to make an impact in the lives of others.

There will be two projects available,

1. Worship Band track *

2. Evangelistic band track *

Each team member would need to raise $550 (local) and $2000 (overseas) for the whole project.

For both projects, we are looking for multi-skilled individuals with one or more of the following skills

-Vocalists (In particular, worship leaders with some experience for the Worship track)

-Guitarists/bassists

-Drummers/percussionists

-Keyboardists

-Sound technicians

-Project managers who have the ability to work with admin and finance details and manage deadlines

- Musicians with multiple-skills may apply for dual-roles. Other musicians, such as violinists, saxophonists, etc. are also welcome to apply, but acceptance is subject to project capacity.

*Note:

1. Music Missions projects are only open to 2nd, 3rd or 4th year students.

2. Please state your preference for either ‘worship’ or ‘evangelism’ track in the application, but note that final placement decision lies with ForeRunner.

3. Locations for projects (whether local or overseas) are subject to confirmation.
